Memories of finding joy and escapism through “Ditch Parties” and hanging out with friends. Bonding through shared experiences of migration, being first generation and the pressures of excelling academically. Thinking of all of the struggles made by our parents so that we could be here dancing to ‘80s New Wave and Rock en Español. Also thinking of how important it was to be there for each other, now more than ever.
